Maximalist Decor

For years I decorated my home in the styles I thought I was meant to like, but the more I saw maximalist decor the more excited I got about the designs I was seeing.

We moved in to our current house in May 2023, and we intend for it to be our home for at least the next decade or so. With that in mind, we have decided to live our maximalist dreams and really reflect ourselves through the way that we decorate.

Our style is bright colours, bold designs and things that make you ask “is that too much?”. It genuinely brings us so much joy to be surrounded by busy colours and organised chaos. We understand that our style isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but hope that visitors will see something that makes them smile. I’ve got a Pinterest board that is getting wildly out of hand, browser after browser open on my phone with tins of paint, and I am ready to get to working making this house look how we want it to.

If you are a fan of maximalist decor (or if you aren’t sure if you’re a fan but you’re curious!) then I’d love for you to come along for the ride. And please tag me if you see anything ridiculous, because I will probably want to add it to my home! This is going to be a ‘bit by bit’ process rather than us blocking out time to do it all at once, but that kind of makes it more fun to follow along in the journey I think.
